When we talk about longtime supporters, we mean people like Connor and Monica at Bright Valley Electric.
Whether it’s fixing our outdoor sign (bulbs included!) or installing our dishwasher, Connor’s answer to “what do we owe you?” is usually “what bill?”
Most recently, Bright Valley Electric was one of the three local service providers who made our dog kennel construction possible. Connor’s work came at a generous discount, helping us take a huge step forward for dogs in our care.
And their support isn’t just professional—it’s personal. The family adopted a kitten from us last year, and when we thanked Connor, he simply said:
“Our family has a soft spot for animals and we really appreciate what you volunteers do to take care of the ones who don’t have a home. We don’t necessarily have time to volunteer, so we help where we can in other ways.”
Bright Valley Electric—thank you for being part of our community, our story, and our progress.
Sometimes, the most impactful connections start with a simple conversation. After attending a few of our fundraising events and meeting our team, Karen Fournier took a special interest in the work we do. She had already donated to us personally, and as she was wrapping up an incredible 40-year career with Inland Plastics, she took action to help in an even bigger way by securing a generous sponsorship.
Karen got the conversation started with the company, and we were thrilled to welcome Inland Plastics branch manager Darren Southwick for a tour of the shelter, where he saw firsthand the impact their support will make. He shared:
“The Inland Plastics donation to the Drumheller & District Humane Society was made in honor of Karen Fournier, with her input, and in recognition of her retirement after 40 years. Karen believes that the Drumheller & District Humane Society provides a valuable service to the community—and the Inland team couldn’t agree more!”
Inland Plastics contribution will help us expand our dog program including the creation of a new climate-controlled space for dogs. A portion of their sponsorship will also support our Spay & Neuter Assistance Fund and our Second Chances Fund, which allows us to accept animals with higher medical needs.
To Karen, Darren, and the entire Inland Plastics team: thank you for your incredible support and belief in our mission! We are excited to build this new relationship and grateful to have you alongside us.
When we say “longtime supporters,” we mean it. Western Financial Group has stood by the Drumheller Humane Society for years, rallying together as a team to raise funds, raise awareness, and raise the bar for what community support looks like. And they do it all with huge hearts. The team at the Drumheller branch aren’t just generous—they’re genuinely some of the kindest people you’ll meet.
Their incredible team has been ALL IN for the animals. This year alone, they’ve hosted a BBQ, organized a silent auction, and nominated us as the recipient of their Walk for Safe Places fundraiser. And their impact doesn’t stop at fundraising; they even proudly display our Cat of the Week poster in their office every single week! This helps us get more eyes on adoptable cats and boosts their chances at a forever home.
The team at Western Financial Group shows up for us again and again. Their support means the world to us, and we’re beyond grateful to call them champions of our mission.
